Tachi : Bizenkuni Yoshii Noritsuna/Oei 4 Nen 3 Gatsu Kichijitsu

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 66 cm or 25.99inches.
Sori : 2.4cm or 0.94inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.55cm or 1.00 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.43cm or 0.56 inches.
Kasane : 0.69cm or 0.56 inches.
Era : Early Muromachi period. 1397,3
Shape : The blade is almost Ubu style with regular sized width, and thickness.
Jitetsu : koitame had and komokume hada well grained with jinie attach some part ooitame had.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair and in Hamon, there are menu sunagashi and kinsuji work.
Boshi is noter and round shape.

Special feature : Noritsuna was called Yoshii Bizen. The second generation is Ouei Period,
the third generation is kansei and this piece is of second generation almost Nanbokucyo period.
This piece is almost ubu(original nakago that is not cut shorten) with slight utsuri seen.
It is graceful piece with strong sori.
The jigane is especially good. It is different from what we see for the gnome midare Yoshi Noritsuna.

Kasane : about 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches
Jidai(era) : Middle to late Edo period.
Special feature : This Tachi mountig is marvelous mint condition.
Tsuba : On the syakudo nanako plate, rise up mimi and engraved dragon and clouds.
Saya : On the best quality aogai chirashi (blue shell powder) ,family crests (kiri moon) are painted by gold.
Fuchikashira : On the shakudo nanako plate, a dragon and clouds are engraved with gold color.
Menuki : On the shakudo nanako plate, a dragon and clouds are engraved with gold color.
Kojiri and other fittings : On the shakudo nanako plate, a dragon and clouds are engraved with gold color.
