The blade was polished.
Blade length : 21.5 cm or 8.46 inches.
Sori : 0.1 cm or 0.03 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.15 cm or 0.84 inches.
Kasane : 0.60 cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is regular sized tanto with Takenoko-zori.
On the both sides of the blade, Bo-hi and soehi are engraved.
Jitetsu : Itame had grained with jinie and Utsuri attach.
Hamon : Niedeki Gunome Midare and Choji Midare mixed. In Ha, there are Sunagashi.
Boshi is round Hakikake style.

Special feature : Sukesada is well known swordsmith from early Muromachi to late Mueomchi period.
Sukesada blades are called Kazuuchimono (mass productive sword). But he had a high standing.
The sword has passed more than 450 years which has been keeping in good condition from generation to generation.

Koshirae : Aikuchi Koshirae
Fuchikashira : Shakudou plate, the phoenix with gold color.
Saya : On the Kin-Nashiji Saya, the phoenix and Aoi leaf with Taka-makie.
Menuki : Kiri mon with gold color.
Kurikata: : On the Shakudo plate, Kiri flower is engraved gold color.
Kozuka : On the Shakudo plate, Kiri flower is engraved gold color.
Kogatana : Mino ju Seki shu Fujiwara Kunisato.
