Tanto in Shirasaya (NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature : Bisyu Osafune Harumitsu.
◯◯ 3 Nen 4 Gatsu Hi. (○○3rd year April)

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold color single habaki.
Blade length : 22.3 cm or 8.77 inches.
Sori : Uchizori style
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 1.95 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is nice Takenokozori style and thick.
Jitetsu : Mokume had well grained with jinie attach and Utsuri appear.
Hamon : Koniedeki cxyoji midare hamon and midarekomi style boshi.

Special feature : Bisyu Osafune Harumitsu was working at Bunmei era to late Muromachi period.
Jyuro Daemon, Gorozaemon are well known sword makers.
At same age, Sukesada and Kiyomitsu made many mass productive items, but Harumitsu didn't make such kind of items.
The nakagojiri(the bottom of the nakago shape is spread and wide )and Kissaki hamon is midarekomi style is special feature of the Harumitsu.
This Tanto is nice Jigane and Hamon.
On the Nakago reversed Nengo is not clear enough.
I think some words shows Nengo.
