Tenpo 9 men Shogatsu hi Monjin Nagatsugu saku (New year 1838)

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 20 cm or 7.87 inches.
Sori : 0.15 cm or 0.05 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.30 cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane : 0.46 cm or 0.18 inches.
Era : late Edo period. around Tenpo era.
Shape : Rather wide Shinogi Tsukuri Tanto.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attahced. The Jitetsu is beautiful.
Hamon : Nioideki, Gunome Midare.

Special feature : This blade was made by Nagatsugu. He studied under Yokoyama Kagasuke Sukenaga.
He is no so famous swordsmith. We guess that Nagatsugu helped his master for a long time.
The style is Yokoyama school style and Nioideki Choji Midare.

Koshirae : Aikuchi Koshirae.
Fuchikashira : Black horn.
Saya : Black Rioro Saya.
Menuki : Round shape silver plate with family crest.
