The blade was polished.
habaki:copper single habaki.
Blade length : 20.1 cm or 7.91 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.65 cm or 1.04 inches.
Kasane : 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era :Late Edo period meiji 3rd.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick like Yoroidoshi style healthy blade.
Jitetsu : Masame had well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair with thick nioukuchi.

Special feature : Mito Ju Nagakatsu was a son in law of the Mito Norikatsu(Tokkatsu) and made Masame hada texture by influenced a lot from his master.
He made few swords are left because of the decree banning the wearing of swords which was issued Meiji 4th.
He made Tanto mainly but sword making is few.
This Tanto's hamon is gunome midair with thick nioikuchi like Ishido Unjyu ZKorekazu.
It means his technique is high level because it is very difficult to make Gunome midair with thick nioikuchi on the massage hada.
He felt having tasted sadness by the decree banning the wearing of swords.
If the blade will be polished again, the blade will be very attractive sword.

Koshirae : Aikuchi koshirae.all matching fittings.
Fuchikashira : Kojiri : On the iron plate, some flowers are engraved with small gold color.
Saya : Rred color with black lines.
Menuki : On the syakudo plate, some flowers are engraved with gold color.
