Tanto: Hirado ju Yasuyoshi

Tanto in Shirasaya (NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Paper)

Signature: Hirado ju Yasuyoshi

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 27.87cm or 10.97inches.
Sori : It is curved toward the ha
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.5cm or 0.98inches.
Era : Muromachi period circa Bunmei.
Shape : There are bohi along with so-hi(groove that is engraved slimly next to the bohi)
engraved on both side of the blade. It is in good shape.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with chikei works actively seen.
It is well grained hada, dark at some part of the jigane. There are some utsuris
seen.
Hamon : NIe base suguha with soft ashi. There are many sunagashi and kinsuji works.

Special feature : Hirado ju Yasuyoshi was called Hirado duke
because the skills were derived from the left part of the school.
He has been active during Bunmei period.
The jigane is very well grained with jinie attached. Clear jigane.
This piece has engraved signature of HIrado jeu Yasuyoshi which is rare to be seen.
The condition is very good.
