Signature: Hishuu Takayama Ju Masa (ikakire)

The blade was polished.
Habak: Gold single foiled habaki
Blade length : 28.2cm or 11.1inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.52cm or 0.99inches.
Kasane : 0.58cm or 0.23inches.
Era : Muromachi Daie period.
Shape : The width and thickness in regular size. There is slight curve inwards.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with mix of masa flaw. Jinie is attached and chikei could be seen.
Hamon : Konie base suguha with some kogunome mix. There are ashi attached.
From the condition of the jitetsu and hamon it seems to be a tango from Muromachi period.
From the hamachi the hamon is notare style with jinie attached.

Special feature : This swordsmith is not so famous. But the signature is good.
From the Jitetsu and hamon the piece is in fairly good condition.
It is rare to see signature engraved as Hishuu Takayama ju.
