Tanto in Shirasaya (NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho Paper)

Signature : Moriyoshi.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Moriyoshi belongs to Jyo Saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold double foiled Habaki.
Blade length : 22.8 cm or 8.97 inches.
Sori : 0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 1.84 cm or 0.72 inches.
Kasane : 0.61 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period, around Tenbun era(1532-1555).
Shape : thin and thick blade. It looks like Yoroi-doshi.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha base. There are double-ha.
Boshi is Hakikake style.

Special feature : Moriyoshi is sword smith of Iwami province.
He also engraved the signature as Sekishu Nagahama ju Rinsho.
This Tanto is nice shape.
