Tanto in Shirasaya (NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature : Kanefusa.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : copper single habaki.
Blade length : 30.1 cm or 11.85 inches.
Sori : 0.3 cm or 0.11 inches.
Mekugi :1
Width at the hamachi : 2.90 cm or 1.14 inches.
Kasane : 0.51 cm or 0.2 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is wide and rather thin and also long sized Tanto.
Jitetsu : Itame had well grained with Masanagare and visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Koniedeki gunome midair with round shaped head which is called Kanefusa midare and also on the shindig area, small gunome midair appear.
Boshi : round shaped deep Yakisage style.

Special feature : Kanefusa was working at Eisyo era to late Muromachi period, The strong feeling Jigane and active Kanefusa midare are typical Mino school.
The blade is pretty nice condition.
