Signature : There is a signature engraved as Kagemitsu

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 17.8 cm or 7.00 inches.
Sori : No Sori
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 1.94 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane : 0.60 cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : It is small Naginata shape kanmuri otoshi tanto.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attached. It is clear jigane.
Hamon : Gunome mixture with some sunagashi and fine streaks of kinsuji mixed. Boshi is hakikake style. It has long burn down.

Special feature : There are no mei that matches in the directory so it could be seen as fake sword. We cannot guarantee for NBTHK paper for this sword. The jigane is well grand beautiful jigane. The hamon activities are there. It is good condition piece. From the condition and
hamon, we could tell that it is late Edo period sword.

Saya : Uniquely painted saya
Menuki : The mekugi is menuki for this piece. Cow design is engraved at the front and at the back, monkey carrying something is engraved and inlayed with gold. IT is adorable piece of work.
Kozuka : Shakudo with Kizami, Kiri mon is engraved with gold color.
Kogatana : copper.
