Sayagaki was done by Kanzan sensei.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 21.51 cm or 8.46 inches.
Sori : 0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.26 cm or 0.88 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Late Muroamchi period Tensho era.
Shape : The blade is very nice Moroba zukuri style nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada and mokume had mixed with jinie attach beautiful jigane.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare with double hamon ash, Yo and sunagashi scatter also Kinsuji work.
The active hamon looks like soshu decki (shoushu den).

Special feature : The blade is rather heavy longer sized moroba zukuri style.
In Ha, active vivid hamon.
The owner of this Tanto was very famous Iai 10 dan (the most top ranking Iai player).He is now more than 85 years of age and teach the students of self difference army and police men.
Recently he has decided to sell all of swords to another sword collectors who love Japanese swords.
He asked us to sell this Tanto to sword collector.
He is collectors of Japanese swords and the blade is perfect condition and very good work.

Koshirae : Kamon Issaku Koshirae.
On the red brown color Saya, many family crests are engraved on the shakudo plate. The family crests: on the solid silver
plate with gold color.
The Koshirae is quite elegant and gentle feeling Koshirae.
