Tanto in Koshirae (NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho Paper)

The blade was polished.
Habaki :Barass single habaki.
Blade length : 21.2 cm or 8.34 inches.
Sori : 0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi:2
Width at the hamachi : 1.90 cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.42 cm or 0.16 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period Bunmei era.
Shape : The blade is healthy regular sized nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach and blackish jigane and chikei work.
Hamon : Koniedeki gunome midair and Togari gunome mixed with sunagashi and weak kinsuji work.

Special feature : The signature of Ietsugu were made many places like Echizen, Kaga. Bichu, Bizen ,Izumo and Hizen.
I think from the blackish jigane, the blade was made at Kaga province.
From the long nakago, the blade was made around Eisho era.
The blade is nice condition.

Historical background: Eisho 7th Nagamorihara battle occured at Echigo province.

Koshirae: on the black roar saya, some leaves are painted by gold color.
