Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 45.2cm or 17.8inches.
Sori : 0.7cm or 0.27inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.77cm or 1.09inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.25cm or 0.89 inches.
Kasane : 0.62cm or 0.24inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : Suriage wakizashi
Jitetsu :Itamehada Hada clearly seen. Jinie attached. Masa flow.
Hamon : Nie base gunome midare with sunagashi seen. Boushi
is irregular line sharp end.

Special feature : We cannot say it is an excellent signature from the
hamon, it would be Mizuta school style and shows roughness all through
the hamon.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : There seems to be a wave pattern engraved
Fuchikashira : On shakudou base
Saya : Unique paint saya
Menuki : Mice and bag is engraved and inlayed with gold.
Kozuka : On shakudou plate, dragon design is engrave and inlayed with gold.
Kogatana :
