This sword Echizen Kuni Jyu Kanenori belongs to Jyo Saku ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki : Silver single Habaki.
Blade length : 34.7 cm or 13.7 inches.
Sori : 0.3 cm or 0.12 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.25 cm or 1.3 inches.
Kasane : 0.76 cm or 0.30 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick healthy blade with Bohi engraved on one side.
Jigane : Itame hada well grained Masame-nagare texture with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha based Notare mixed with deep Nioikuchi. Boshi is round shape.

Special feature: Echizen Kanenori was at Mino province during early Muromachi period.
This school continued up to Edo period.
This blade was forged at late Muromachi period.
The blade is healthy wide and thick Sakisori style which is typical of Mino school.
