Wakizashi in Koshirae

Signature: Kanemitsu (not reliable signature).

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Suaka cooper double habaki.
Blade length : 45.6 cm or 17.95 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.7 inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi : 2.75 cm or 1.08 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.95 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era :Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is rather wider and thick with deep sori and also longer kissaki.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach and shirake utsuri appear.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare and togari gunome mixed.
In Ha, there are assume sunagashi work.

Special feature : Kanemitu was swordsmith in Minio province at Late Muromachi period.
The blade is Gimei, but the jigane of this blade is nice togari gnome hamon and also visible to see Shirake Utsuri.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the round iron sukashi stub, iron born appear on the mimi.
Fuchikashira :On the shakudoi nanako plate, a bridge and a bird are engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black roiro saya (some parts are repaired).
Menuki : On the shakudo plate, flower design are engraved with gold color.
