Wakizashi : Harima no kami Fujiwara Tadakuni first generation

Wakizashi in Shirasaya (NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon paper)

Signature : Harima no kami Fujiwara Tadakuni first generation.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 58.48 cm or 23.02 inches.
Sori : 1.35 cm or 0.53 inches.
Mekugi :1
Width at the hamachi : 2.85 cm or 1.12 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.15 cm or 0.84 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is regular sized long wakizashi which is almost Katana size.
Jitetsu : Koitame had quite well Hizen Konuma hada with jinie .
Hamon : Niede ki Gunome midair and oo gunome midair mixed with very deep nioikuchi.
In Hamon, there are many sunagashi and Kinsuji sactter like summer clouds in the sky.

Special feature : Generally first generation was mentioned as Daijyo and the title of Kami is second generation.
But sometimes later generation Tadakuni made Harima Kami Fujiwara Tadakuni. This sword is typical first generation.
The Hamon is very attractive elegant hamon.
In Hamon, there are many sunagashi and Kinsuji sactter like summer clouds flotate in the sky.
