Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae. (NBTHK Hozon Paper)
Signature :Hokyo Minamoto Mitsuhira.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword Hokyo Minamoto Mitsuhira. belongs to Jyo saku ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki :coper double habaki.
Blade length : 55.4 cm or 21.8 inches.
Sori : 0.5 cm or 0.2 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.77 cm or 1.09 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.02 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is rather slender with Kanbun style shape and long Kissaki.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained with Jinie attach and clear Utsuri appear.
Hamon : Konie-deki Choji-midare and in Ha, there are small Sshi and Yo work.

Special feature : Minamoto Mitsuhira was called Dewa Nyudo Taishin Hokyo Minamoto Mitsuhira. He was born at Koshu Gamo and moved to Kyoto and then moved again to Edo.
And his sword sometimes changed to Koto blade.
His swords had high reputation for Ichimonji style with active Choji midare Hamon.
This sword looks Koto Ichimonji.

Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Fuchikashira : Dragon is engraved On Shakudo Nanakoji plate with gold color.
Tsuba : Landscape is engraved on Mokko style iron Tsuba.
Menuki : Dragon is engraved on SHakudo plate with gold color.
