The blade was polished.
Habaki: Solid silver single habaki
Blade length : 36.4cm or 14.34 inches.
Sori : 1.4cm or 0.55inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.47cm or 0.97 inches.
Kasane : 0.59cm or 0.97inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : It is imitating Kogarasumaru zukuri.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie base suguha style. The boshi is round end.

Special feature : Jyakushu Ju Kuroda Minamoto Uchi Masayoshi is a sword smith
from Wakasa but his detail is unknown. Kogarasumaru is the family treasure of Heike
and was once lost in The battle of Dannnoura. However, later on it was discovered that
it is preserved by Heike. In Meiji , it was brought by Sou, master of Tsushima province and
at Meiji 15th, Sou family has make the emperor the present.
Now, it is preserved at National Cultural Organization. After Meiji、the martial ofJapan
Army has provided this Kogarasumaru.
This piece is faithfully replicating Kogarasumaru. It is short size and very rare.
There are little flaws but it is not serious. If you are looking for rare pieces, we would
like to recommend the copy of Kogarasu Amakuni.
