Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae(NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature : Kaneie

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword belongs to Jo saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : single silver Habaki with Mt. Fuji.
Blade length : 39.21 cm or 15.43 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.36 cm or 1.32 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 3.03 cm or 1.19 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period. 1558-1570.
Shape: Wide and thick blade. There Bo-Hi and Soe-Hi on both side.
On the front, there are Ken Maki Ryu(dragon).
Hamon: Nie Deki Suguha, Boshi is togari gokoro around Yakisage shape.

Special feature : Kaneie is a swordsmith of late Muromachi period, around Eiroku era.
This blade is wide and thick. It is typical Eiroku era blade.
The Jigane is beautiful.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Iron, arabesque with gold color. Higo style.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanao, shell is engraved with gold color.
Saya: Russet color.
Menuki: Shakudo, Aoi family crest is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka: Copper, dragon is engraved with gold color.
