Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae(NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho Paper)

Signature : Miyoshi Nagamichi (6th generation)
Kaei 6 Ushi Nen Shujitsu.(Augumn1853)

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 34.23 cm or 13.47 inches.
Sori : 0.3 cm or 0.11 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.60 cm or 1.02 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period. Around Kanei era.
Shape : The blade looks like Naginata with Saki Sori.
Jitetsu :Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached. The Jigane is beautiful.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare. There are many Ashi with deep Nioikuchi.
Boshi is Midarekomi with Ashi.

Special feature : This blade was made by 6th generation of Miyoshi Nagamichi.
He is a famous sword smith in Aizu Katana Kaji.
This blade looks like first generation of Nagamichi.
This blade has nice Gumome Midare Hamon with deep Nioikuchi.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron Tsuba, the goose is engraved with open work.
Fuchikashira : Shibuichi, flowers are engraved with Katakiri Hori.
Saya : Russet color.
Menuki : Shakudo Nanako, deer is engraved.
Kozuka : Shakudo Nanako, quails are engraved with gold color.
