Wakizashi : Kazusa no kami Fujiwara Munemichi

Wakizashi in Koshirae.(NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature: Kazusa no kami Fujiwara Munemichi
Genroku 11th Year November 28th(1681)

Shinto: Ryosaku: Echizen
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 45.15cm or 17.78inches.
Sori : 2.12cm or 0.83inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.65cm or 1.44 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 3.14cm or 1.24inches.
Kasane : 0.74cm or 0.29inches.
Weight of only blade:cm or inches
Era : Edo period Kanbun(1661-1672)
Shape : It is wide and deep sori, O-kissaki sword. It is rare shape wakizashi.
Jitetsu : Masame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie Deki Togari Gunome with mixture of Sharp gunome and Tobi-Yaki.
There is active Sunagashi work and some kinsuji mixed.
Boshi is round notare style.

Special feature : He was called Sugaya Kuroemon and has engraved
signature has Kazusa kami. His first signature is Munetsugu
and has lived in Echizen Shimosaka.
It is wide sword as if a Sumo wrestler was holding this work.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :Mokko shape iron tsuba.
Fuchikashira : The fuchi is iron plate with pattern engraved in silver.
Kashira: Shakudo plate Higo
Saya : Dark brown Saya.
Menuki : Shakudo plate with bird design engraved.
Bashin: Iron, chryanthemum is engraved with gold color.
