Wakizashi: Muemi Sue-Tegai

Wakizashi in Shirasaya.
Signature : Muemi Sue-Tegai (Token Shibata Origami)
guarantee NBTHK Hozon Token.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length : 38.0 cm 15.0 inches.
Sori : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the Hamachi : 2.87 cm or 1.13 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Mid muromachi period.
Shape : Wide and thick blade having Bo-hi and Soe-hi on both sides.
Jigane : Itame-hada well grained with Jinie attach white Utsuri appears on the surface of the blade.
Hamon : Nie-deki Suguha double-Ha mixed with Uchinoke and Koashi, Yo working.
Special feature. Sue-tegai are descendants of Yamato Tegai school at Muromachi period.
Origami wrote by Sibata-sensei and I totaly agree with his appraisal.
Soe-hi has been worn out but the blade condition is nice.
