Signature: Mumei (Unsigned) attributed as Shimada Gisuke

The blade was polished .
Blade length : 37.2 cm or 14.64 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.55 cm or 1.39 inches.
Kasane : 0.52 cm or 0.2 inches.
Era : Late of Muromachi period.
Shape : This blade has wide Hamachi and normal thickness.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Hitatsura hamon. And Koniedeki and Nioideki combined with Jinie attach.

Special feature : The founder of Shimada Gisuke started from Daiei era (about 1520's) and continued at late of Muromachi period.
I think this blade was made around late Muromachi period.
There is a small Kizu on the blade around the Kissaki area.
But this blade is inconspicuous.
