Wakizashi: Mumei (Shinshinto Tsunahiro)

Signature : Mumei (Shinshinto Tsunahiro)

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 41.3 cm or 16.25 inches.
Sori : 1 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.95 cm or 1.16 inches.
Kasane : 0.91 cm or 0.35 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : It is wide and thick Mitsumune style.
It has strong Sori at the top part(Sakizori).
It is Hirauchi wakizashi.
Jitetsu :Masame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : Gunome midare with much ups and down.
The point is hakikake style and burnt down.
The hamon is Hitatsura hamon. There is many sunagashi and kinsuji works.

Special feature : From the hamon it seems to by Tsunahiro from Shinshinto period.
This wakizashi is thick mitsunune style and HIrauchi shape. There is Sakizori and strong
work. The masame hada is ardent hitatsuba hamon that is wonderfully burnt down.
At first glance it is similar to Aizu Kanesada. It is similar work.
