Keio 4 Nen 4 Gatsu Hi.

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 39.4 cm or 15.51 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.12 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.83 cm or 1.11 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Late Edo Keiou period.
Shape : It is Naginata style big Kissaki maginificent work.
Jitetsu : Masame Hada well grained with Jinie attached. The Hada pattern could be well observed.
Hamon : NIe Deki Suguha with mixture of Uchinoke. There are Sunagashi and Kinsuji works appearing.

Special feature : Katsumura Tokumasa was born in Mito and was named Katsumura Hikoroku and has been active as the fuderal lord of Mito family.
He has made sword that focused on its sharpness. His sword were mostly Masame Suguha sword.
He has made similar swords to Hosho which then becomes Masame had. Jitetsu is masame jigane.
This piece is wonderful Masame deki sword that reminds of Hosho.
