Wakizashi in Shirasaya(NBTHK Kicho paper)

Signature: Sunpu Ju Anzai Ju Sadakuni

Shinto; Namisaku; Suruga
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 53.7cm or 21.14 inches.
Sori : 0.5cm or 0.19 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.9 cm or 1.14 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.87 cm or 0.73 inches.
Kasane : 0.65cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Circa Kanei
Shape : It is regular width and thickness.
It is shallow Sori nice Kanbun Shinto shape katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : From the Habachi it is Suguha and gradually becomes Choji midare.
On the Monouchi area ,the ha is almost touching the Shinogi area. Boshi is not clear.

Special feature : Sunpu Ju Anzai Ju Sadakuni has lived in Suruga and has descended the skill
from Shimada school. This blade reminds of Ichimonji. There is clear Utsuri in the ha.
From the jitetsu and hamon it reminds of Bicchu kami Tameyasu.
