Signature : Taia Gassan Minamoto Sadakazu Tukuru Kore (Kao)
(designated as a Living National Treasure on 1971)

This sword belongs to Saijo saku ranking.

The blade is high rank polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length : 32.8 cm or 12.9 inches.
Sori : 0.2 cm or 0.08 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the Hamachi : 3.14 cm or 1.24 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Modern ages 1982.
Shape : Wide and thick blade Hirazukuri style with Kurikara sword and Bohi engraved on each sides of the blade.
Jigane : Ayasugi-hada well grained with deep Jinie attach. Utsuri and Chikei appearing on surface very wonderful Jigane.
Hamon : Nie-deki Suguha with nuance of Notare. Sunagashi and Kinsuji working well. Bopshi turns Hakikake style.
Special feature : Taia Gassan Minamoto Sadakazu has born at Meiji
Historical back ground : Bribery conviction to Tomisaburou Hashimoto, who was Minister of Transport, for Lockheed bribery scandals at June 22th.
At September 26th, the false report about history textbook done by Asahi Shimbun newspaper caused long friction about historical awareness between China, Korea and Japan.
