Yari in Koshirae

Signature : Mumei

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 33.6 cm or 13.22 inches.
Sori : 0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.05 cm or 0.80 inches.
Kasane : 1.11 cm or 0.43 inches.
Era : Early Edo period.
Shape : The blade is rather longer with bo-hi is engraved on the back side.
Jitetsu :Itame hada with flow of masa(masanagare) with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Nie deki and Komidare mixed.

Special feature : The jigane has rough hada but not so bad.
The very interesting point is one side of the shirasaya is Kama and opposite side is Yari.
Probably this Yari was used by Ninjya or other samurai.
It is possible to hide the Yari inside of the pole.
The Yari was used to avoid sudden attack from the enemy.
