Tanto in Shirasaya(NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature : Kanetsuna Saku (Seki)

Sue Koto: Chujo saku: Mino province.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 20.28 cm or 7.98 inches.
Sori : 0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.75 cm or 1.08 inches.
Kasane : 0.57 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi periodm, around Meio era(1492-1501).
Shape : Thick and wide Tanto. There are Bo-Hi on both side.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
The Jigane is beautiful.
Hamon : Nioi Deki, Choji Midare, wonderful high and low Hamon.
Boshi is Togari round shape.

Special feature : Kanetsuna is a sword smith of Mino province.
He succeed around Meio era(1492-1501).
This blade is Nioi Deki, Gunome Midare.
The blade is healthy, thick and wide, looks like Izumi Kami Kanesada.
