Dai : Katana in Koshirae

Signature : Hasebe(Cut Shortened)(Not guarantee)

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper single foiled habaki
Blade length : 63.0 cm or 24.80 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 4(3 is open, 1 is filled.)
Width at the hamachi : 3.12 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.33 cm or 0.91 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi Period
Shape : Suriage Machiokuri(Cut shorten) blade. The
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with mokume mixed and jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie base suguha with some notare mix.

Special feature : This Hasebe is unfortunately gimei however, it could be estimated as Uda school piece.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape tsuba、rim covers the tsuba. It seems to be a tsuba from Mogarashi Souten school.
Most likely from an old tale of China.
A man and child design is engraved and inlayed with gold.
Fuchikashira : On copper base, the leaf of Aoi(hollyhock) is engraved and inlayed with shakudou(copper and zinc alloy).
Saya : Red brown saya with sparkles of limpet
Menuki : Shakudou base with horse design engraved.

Sho : Wakizashi in Koshirae

Signature : Hiromitsu(Silver inlayed)

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold single foiled habaki
Blade length : 30.4 cm or 11.96 inches.
Sori : 0.4 cm or 0.15 inches.
Mekugi : 2(1 is open, 1 is filled.)
Width at the hamachi : 2.90 cm or 1.14 inches.
Kasane : 0.49 cm or 0.19 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period
Shape : It is regular size width and thickness. This tanto has a carve towards the end.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. It is beautiful jihada.
Hamon : Nie base with same length gunome mix line with some curve around the end of the tanto. Boushi is sharp end.

Special feature : This piece, from the equal pattern hamon and jigane, it could be said as Heianjyo and Shimada school.
The signature is written Hiromitsu(Silver inlay) however, it is gimei piece. However,
the front and back side is identical. It is excellent piece.
