Signature : Hizen koku Ju Omi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro

The blade was polished.
Habaki : gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 71.0 cm or 27.95 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.99 cm or 1.17 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.98 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.70 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period. around Kanbun era.
Shape : Regular size nice shape katana.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie atatch. It is beatutiful Hizen Konuka Hada.
Hamon : Deep Nioikuchi, Ko-Nie deki, Suguha with soft Habuchi.
Boshi is Togari gokoro round shape.

special feature: Tadahiro the Second was born Heisakuro Hashimoto
as a legitimate son of Tadayoshi the First.
Tadahiro was only19 years old when his father passed away in1632,
but he was enough skillful to forge sword at that time.
Tadahiro designated the Omi-Daijo in 1641, aged 29 and continued not only forging sword,
but also supervised many pupils until his death in 1693, aged 80.
He is known as a skillful swordsmith almost all works are above the standard hizen-to.
He had been forged sword for a long period of time to leave the largest number of swords among the swordsmiths of Hizen school.
He was good at both of Suguha-hamon and Choji-midare Hamon.
Especially the beauty of jitetsu called konuka-hada is appreciated as the best among the hizen-to.
His swords are ranked at the Owaza-mono because of the sharpness.
We strongly recommend this marvelous sword.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Shakudo Nanako, dragon and phenix are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanako, autoumn insect and plant are engraved with gold color. Mino Goto.
Menuki: Shakudo,flower is engraved with gold color.
Saya: Dark brown color Kawarinuri Saya.

Width at the Kissaki : 2.21 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.59 cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Edo period. arond Kanbun era.
Shape : Wide and thick blade.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame hada well grained with Jinie attach. It is beautiful Hizen Konuka Hada.
Hamon : Nie deki, Gunome Midare with deep Nioikuchi. There are Sunagashi and Kinsuji.

Special feature : Tadahiro (real name was Hashimoto Heisakuro) was born as son of Tadayoshi the 1st.
He started make swords by his self when his father passed away in 1633.
Tadahiro was designated the Omi-Daijo when he was 29 years old.(in 1641)
He is known as a skillful swordsmith, and his almost all works are
better than standard Hizen blades.
Especially Jitetsu is very beautiful, and called Konuka-hada.
His swords are ranked at the Owazamono because of the sharpness.
He passed away at 80 years old in 1693.
