Wakizashi : Oumi Kami Minamoto Hisamichi first generation

Wakizashi in Shirasaya (NBTHK Hozon Token)
Signature : Oumi Kami Minamoto Hisamichi first generation.
Shinto : Jyo saku ranking:Yamashiro province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijo saku, Jyojyo saku, Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.

The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki :copper gold color single habaki.
Blade length : 54.8 cm or 21.6 inches.
Sori :1,2cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.14cm or1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.3 cm or 0.9inches.
Kasane : 0.7cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Edo period Enpo era.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with suitable sori and longer kissaki healthy blade.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach clear nice texture.
Shinogiji :Jigane is almost same as Hiraji texture.
Hamon :From the Hamachi, suguha hamon and then gunome midare with deep nioikuchi oo-gunome with thick ashi.
Boshi is round sansaku style boshi with thick nioikuchi.

Special feature:First generation Hisamichi was born at Ko-syu(Right now Shiga prefecture) at Kanei 3rd(1626) in the family Kanzaemon
Hori and called Rokubei Hori. Second generation Izemi Kami Kinmichi found him as good talent and became a family member of the Mishina family.
His swords are similar with Iga Kami Kinmichi and mishina style Boshi.
This sword is very healthy wide and thick and also nice active deep
nioikuchi gunome midare with fat ashi work.
I think this sword is healthy top ranking sword in his swords.
