Dai : Katana in Shirasaya (NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Paper)

Signature : Tsuda Echizen no Kami Sukehiro
Kanbun 13 nen 8 Gatsuhi(1674)August. (Kanbun 13 Nen is also called Enpo 1st)

The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 71.3cm or 28.07 inches.
Sori : 1.5cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.37cm or 1.32 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.22cm or 0.87inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun 13.
Shape :The blade is wide(3.37 cm) and thick wit regular sori and longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful oosaka jigane(texture).
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare doranba hamon with thick nioikuchi.
In Hamon, there are many ash, sunagashi and also kinsuji scatter.
Boshi is round shape with hakikae style.
There is a very small kitaeware along with ha but not serious.

Special feature : Tsuda Echizen no Kami Sukehiro was born at knei 14th(1637)Settsu province and became a adopt child first
generation Tsuda Echizen Kami Sukehiro after the fist generation passed away, he succeeded 2nd generation.
1st generation sukehiro is well known sword maker Cyoji midair Ichimonji style but 2nd generation Sukehiro adored to make Sosyu den style.
He tried to make Doranba oogunome hamon.
First stage, he cut the signature square style and then round shape signature.
At that period, experience a sharp downturn in demanding Japanese sword after early Edo.
So sword makers were trying to make flashy swords.
Sukehiro, Shinkai were looking for more attractive gorgeous sword.
Finally they succeeded to make Very thick nioikuchi suguha and Doranba hamon.
These Hamon influenced a lot to other sword makers.
At Enpo era, The sukehiro succeeded Doranba hamon without any faults.

This sword was made at Kanbun 13th which is also Enpo 1st well grained with thick nioikuchi Doranba hamon.
The sword is very precious data which is mentioned on the tang Kanbun 13th.
At this age, Sukehiro made gorgeous sword like Jyuyo Bijyutu(important art) and others.
This sword was made Kanbun 13th it means Enpo 1st year last Kakutsuda signature. From that period,
The blade was changed to Maru stud style.

Shinto : Saikyosaku rankig(The top ranking in shinto period) Oowaza mono cutting test ranking : Settsu province.

Mekugi : 2(1 is open, 1 is filled.)
Width at the hamachi : 3.27cm or 1.28 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.27cm or 0.89 inches.
Kasane : 0.65cm or 1.29 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with deep sori and longer kisaaki nice looking shape.
On both sides of the blade has Bo-Hi is engraved.
