Signature Translation : (Front Side)Minamoto Moriyoshi, a Mukansa sword smith, has forged this sword by the request of Aisawa Toshio
(Back Side) Showa 62 year(1987) August Lucky Day
Engraved hori : It is written on the top part of the nakago, Kokeguchi Senchu Mukansa
Senshuu horu nari (Senshu engraved)

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Pure gold double foiled habaki 40 g with family crest engraved
Blade length : 73.3 cm or 28.86 inches.
Sori : 1.7 cm or 0.67 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.36 cm or 1.32 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.7 cm or 1.06 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Modern period.
Shape : It is three mune structure with much width and thickness and so as long kissaki.
On the front of the ha, dragon and ball are engraved. At the back side tokko, ken, bonji engraved with bo-hi.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. It is clear jigane.
Hamon : Nie structure with gunome midare with many ups and downs.
There are active sunagashi and kinsuji works.

Special feature : Minamoto Moriyoshi is a sword smith that was qualified as Mukansa swordsmith.
He was known to be a master of imitating Kiyomitsu sword.
This piece is his masterpiece which you could see the excellent hori design through out the katana.
Dr. Kokeguchi Senshu has engraved excellent hori and he was well known as the best engraving craftman.
Because it was order made katana, this sword was made thoroughly and careful manner.
Habaki is 40 g pure gold double foiled habaki with family crest engraved.
It is well balanced katana. There are sunagashi and long kinsuji appearing.
Long kinsuji work could also be seen. It is a masterpiece.

(This sword was) Forged for the chairman Aisawa Toshio for symbolizing fertility at Heisei First Year August lucky day.

Blade length : 49.8 cm or 19.6 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.56 cm or 1.04 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.97 cm or 1.17 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Modern period.
Shape : It is wide and thick firm looking wakizashi. It is large kissaki.
The engraved design is the scent of the morning sunshine and cherry blossom and men who are viewing the cherry blossom is engraved.
The excellent hori of yamazakura(wild cherry tree) is engraved.
The balanced shape of this katana is The deep nioiguchi hamon and the brush style hamon in the boshi is wonderful.

Special feature : Daisho wakizashi with width and thickness nice hori.
The phrase "Wild cherry tree dyed by the sunrise" is written in letters and also the design of the wild cherry tree.
The rich hori of the wild cerry blossom and the gunome midare hamon,
deep nioiguchi hamon and the brush up style kissaki is wonderful.
