The blade was polished.
Habaki : Bronze base silver colored habaki
Blade length : 77.5 cm or 30.52 inches.
Sori : 1.6cm or 0.63 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.11 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.16 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.79 cm or 0.311 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : It is rather wide and thick katana with some sori. The kissaki is rather long.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : Konie base which gradually becomes suguha from the hamachi.
It becomes gunomemidare later on.
There are long sunagashi and kinsuji seen from the monouchi.
The boshi is midarekomi and sharp. It is round end with some yakisage.

Special feature : Fujiwara Kanemune was a wordsmith that has long been under Nagaoka domain.
This piece is wide and it reveals the katana of late Edo period.
