The blade was polished
Habaki : Silver single foiled habaki
Blade length : 70.2 cm or 27.63 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.03 cm or 1.19 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.96 m or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo Period circa Kanei (1624-1644)
Shape : There is 6cm suriage machiokuri(cut shorten blade). It is regular size width, kasane and thickness.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attached. It is clear Osaka jigane style jitetsu.
Hamon : Nie base gunome midair with ups and downs.
There are many ashi(legs) attached. There are many activities in the ha such as sunagashi.
Boushi is round end and is curved beautifully.

Special feature : Izumi Kami Kunisada was born at Hyuga province in Kyusyu.
After that he moved to Rakuyo province and learned from Kunihiro and Kunitomo sword makers.
At Genna9th year May, he got the tytle of the Izumi Kami.
One of the best sword maker Inoue Shinkai was his son.
So he was called Oya kunisada(Oya means father).
He passed away May 5th, Keiai 5th year .
He has good reputation that his swords are all better than standard.
From the first glance ,this piece looks like a first generation Kunisuke.
It is easy to see it is related with first generation Kunisuke as this piece has similar characteristics.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron stub with silver rim.
The plate has flower design on the surface and phoenix and giraffe engraved and inlayed with gold.
Fuchikashira : Shakudou mug style with wave and family crest engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : It is imagined as wakakusa nuri (It is a lacuer paint made in Fukui prefecture North East of Japan.). It is unique paint saya.
Menuki : Shakudou base with folk design engraved and inlayed with gold.
