Special feature : The founder of the Kongo hyouei started from Kamakura period and continued to late Muromachi period at Kyusyu Dazaihu area near Kamado shrine. After that this school spread to anther area like Hirado, Kurume and Bungo area.
This school had kept Suguha hamon with koashi and also rough iteme hada with masa nagere mixed.
The school's Nakago shape is Toba style from Kamakura to Gendai(modern times). Toba means a long (about 60cm) wood prop against a grave. The top shape is like Kongo Hyoei's edge nakago.
It is very unique that the shape and Jugane and Hamon have kept from Kamakura to Gendai period for long period.
I think this school's sword makers are united by religious strong ties.
This sword is also hadatachi jigane with blackish and suguha hamon.
Kongo hyouei swords were liked by a lot of samurai at War time
Muromachi period because of cut well sword and probably religious mean.
