Katana : Munetoshi (Aidsu Shinshinto Mutsu)

Katana in Shirasaya, with Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon Paper) (Consignment sale)

Signature : Munetoshi (Aidsu Shinshinto)
Shinshinto : Mutsu province

The blade was polished by good polisher.
Blade length : 72.42 cm or 28.51 inches.
Sori : 1.66 cm or 0.65 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.67 cm or 1.05 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.58 cm or 0.62 inches.
Kasane : 0.79 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is regular width and thick with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitane hada well grained with jinie attach beautifyul texture.

Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair and noter hamon mix and double hamon.
In Ha, there are sunagashi and kinsuji work.

Special feature :
Munetoshi is called Imaemon and worked under the Motohira and
Sumi Motooki.
His subjects are few because he helped a lot for Sumi Motooki his master.
He passed away Meiji 4th at Haitorei.
The sword is polished by high ranking polisher and without kiss and flow.
Nakago is long copare with general sword makers.
Probably the owner asked him to maki a sword in order to use as battle.
