Tanto in Shirasaya, with Koshirae.

The blade was polished.
Habaki:Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 27.7 cm or 10.90 inches.
Sori : No Sori
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.22 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.71 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : It is wide and thick strong looking tanto.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada with mixture of komokume hada. It is well grained with jinie attached.
It is clear jigane.
Hamon : Konie base suguha with mixture of notare. The line of hamon is soft end. The boushi end is hakikake style.

Special feature : The nakago is filing seems to be yarigaki style. From the characteristics, it seems to be piece of Naminohira.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Oval shape shinchu base with patterns engraved.
Fuchikashira : Shakudou muji style.
Saya : Kawari nurd saya. There are some .
Menuki : Shakudou base with a design of bird perching on a wood is engraved.
