Katana:Mumei (Unsigned) attributed as Hiroga.

Dai (Katana): in Koshirae
Signature : Mumei (Unsigned) attributed as Hiroga.

The blade was polished by good polisher.
Habaki : Suaka cooper single habaki.
Blade length : 69.6 cm or 27.40 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.88 cm or 1.13 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.08 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is suriage mumei (cut shortened) and regular sized width and thickness and also longer kissaki.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach and mokume mixed which is visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Niedeki kogunome and gunome midare mixed with small sunagashi work in Ha.
Boshi is midarekomi hakikake style.

Special feature : At Hoki province was quite well known as high quality iron sand and made Tamahagane by using this sand. At Heian period, Ko houki Yasutsuna was working at Heian period and made very famous swords and this stream continued to Kamakura period.
At Muromachi period Hiroga school which was working at same place made many swords.
The jigane is itame hada and mokume hada mixed comvined with soshu school.

Historical background: 1575 Nagashiro battle.
Oda Nobunaga battled with Tokugawa Ieyasu and Takeda Katuyori and Nobunaga used Hinawa ju 3000 pieces (matchlock) and Nobunaga got sweep victory.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shaped shakudo plate with sukashi (open work).
Fuchikashira : On the shakudo nanako plate, waves and a dragon are engraved.
Saya : Black roiro saya (small damages but not so bad).
Menuki : On the shaudo plate, a dragon is engraved.

Signature : Mumei (Unsigned) attributed as Sue mihara school.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Suaka cooper single habaki.
Blade length : 51.5 cm or 20.27 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.85 cm or 1.12 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.05 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.60 cm or 0.23 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei (cut shortened).
Jitetsu : Itame hada and mokume hada mixed with jinie attach.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with uchinoke and double hamon.
In Hamon,there are small sunagashi work.

Special feature : Sue mihara is a stream of Mihara school.
Mihara which was working late Muromachi period is called Sue mihara.
