This Yamato kami Hidekuni belongs to JyoJyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 27.6 cm or 10.86 inches.
Sori : 0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.59 cm or 1.01 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : Regular size, Takenoko-Sori shape Tanto.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada and Mokume Hada mix. Masanagare. It is clear Jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with Togari-Ha mix. The Hamon is almost same on both side.
At a glance, it looks like Muramasa or Heianjo Nagayoshi. In Ha, there are Sunagashi and Ashi. This Ha is bright.

Special feature : Yamato kami Hidekuni called Kado(Sumi) Daisuke.
Keiou 2 year(1866), He named Yamato kami Hidekuni.
He passed away in March 1981 at age of 80.
Yamato kami Hidekuni and Aizu Kanesada are well known sword smith in late Edo period.
Them blade was Hijikata Toshizo's favorite sword.
It is not too much to say that this blade is copy of Muramasa.
This is healthy blade.
