Tanto in Koshirae

Signature: Kunitsugu.

The blade was polished.
Habaki :copper single habaki with gloss color.
Blade length : 28.02 cm or 11.03 inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi : 2.58 cm or 1.01 inches.
Kasane : 0.45 cm or 0.17 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and regular thickness longer Tanto.
Jitetsu :Itame had well grained with jinie attach and some parts small kizu but not serious.
Hamon : Niedeki kogunome midare In Ha, there are many sunagashi and kinsuji work.

Special feature : This Tanto is Mino school because of the hamon and jigane. The signature looks good.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the small hamidashi iron stub,palnts and insects are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira :On the iron plate, peony flowers and insects are engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black ishimeji saya.
Menuki : Shishidog is engraved with gold colr.
Kozuka : On the iron plate, butterflies are engraved with gold color.
Kurikata : On the copper plate, flying birds are engraved with silver color.
