Tanto in Shirasaya

Signature : Mumei(unsigned) Shinshinto or Kindai.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Mumei blade belongs toJyosaku ranking.

The blade was polished. (if you need polishing again, ¥10,000 will be added)
Blade length : 25.6 cm or 10.07 inches.
Sori : 0.2 cm or 0.07 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.82 cm or 1.50 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Late Edo or Kindai period.
Shape : The blade is wide (3.82cm) and thick which is called Onino Hocyo (Demon's knife)
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attach nice Jigane.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair and cyoji midair mixed with sunagashi and Kinsuji work in Ha.

Special feature : This sword looks Masamune style which is called Hocyo masamune.
Many sword makers tried to make a copy of the Masamune.
He also tried to challenge Masamune.
The blade is ia lot of activities in Ha sunagashi and also kinsuji.
The blade is mumei (unsigned ) which was made around late Edo or Meiji period.
