Wakizashi: Heianjyo ju Fujiwara Norisada

Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature: Heianjyo ju Fujiwara Norisada

Shinto : Yamashiro province.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Suaka cooper single habaki.
Blade length : 52.6 cm or 20.70 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi:2
Width at the hamachi : 2.70 cm or 1.06 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.88 cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.54 cm or 0.21 inches.
Era : Edo Period period. Kanei era.
Shape : This blade is regular sized Wakizashi with Sori and rather long Kissaki.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained jinie attach Masame appeare.
Hamon : Niedeki gnome midare with deep nioikuchi and ashi works.
Boshi is round shaped hakikake style.

Special feature : Norisada is swordsmith at Yamashiro province (he was born at Mikawa province (aichi prefecture)).
This blade is rather long style wakizashi. The blade is pretty healthy and good work. The blade has passed NBTHK Hozon Paper.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : On the mokko shaped iron Tsuba, two fishing philosopher (they look up to the sky) no zu is engraved. This tsuba's design inspired by chinese koji!?.
Fuchi : On the iron plate, shell is engraved with gold, silver and suaka cooper iroe.
Kashira : Suaka cooper.
Saya : Black roiro saya.
Menuki : Brass plate. Unknow design.
