Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae

Signature : Inshu Kiro Zaemon no Jyo Kanesaki

Shito:Shusaku: Inaba
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Kanesak belongs to Jojo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 49.6cm or 19.52 inches.
Sori : 0.9cm or 0.35 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.87cm or 1.12 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.2cm or 0.47 inches.
Kasane : 0.62cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Edo Kanbun period.
Shape : It is regular width and thickness with well grained JInie attached.
The Hada pattern is Konuka hada. It is similar to Hizen-To .
Jitetsu : Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached.
Hamon : Bright Nie Deki Suguha Hamon. Boshi is round ended.

Special feature : Kuro Zaemon no Jyo Kanesaki is a sword smith of Inaba province but
originally from Echizen province.
Because he was assisting his mentor's work, there is only few of his work left until now.
It is extremely rare to see Zokumyo Kurozaemon work.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Kiku flower Yamagane tsuba with chrysanthemum deisgn
engraved and inlaid with gold. Edo Period
Fuchikashira : Shakudo Nanakoji plate with chrysanthemum design
engraved and inlaid with gold.
Saya : Black Roiro Saya
Menuki : Gold Foiled cock motif modern Menuki.
Kozuka : Shakudo Nanakoji plate with chrysanthemum
design engraved. There is dent on the back side.
