Wakizashi in Shirasaya(NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature: Kanesada

The blade was polished.
habaki:gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 33.2 cm or 13.07 inches.
Sori : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.77 cm or 0.89 inches.
Kasane : 0.51 cm or 0.20 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period. 1558(455years ago.)
Shape : the blade is regular sized sakisori tanto.
on the both sides of the blade has double Hi.
Jitetsu :Itame had well grained with jinie attach masanagare
and visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Konie deck suguha with Uchinoke and round boshi yakisage style.

Special feature : The signature is mentioned as Kanesada but it is rather difficult to distinguish which generation Kanesada.
Kanesada is well known cut well sword in Selo school.
Nakago is Higaki Yasuri(fail) which is typical Mino school's mark.
