Wakizashi in Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature : Motte Nanbantetsu Chikugo kami Fujiwara Kanenoroi.

Shinto: Chujyou saku: Wazamono cutting test ranking: Echizen province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword belongs to jyo-saku
ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : copper single habaki.
Blade length :   54.7 cm or 21.53 inches.
Sori : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Mekugi : 1 
Width at the hamachi : 3.01cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.95 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period, Kanbun era.
Shape: Regular size, Kanbun Shinto style Wakizashi.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Notare with Gunome Midare.
In Ha, there are Sunagashi. Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : Chikugo Kami Fujiwara Kanenori is said
to be a son of Kanenori of Sanami school which moved from MIno province.
He has moced to Ichijyodani and made sword.
He curved unique and interesting signatures.
He was influenced by Echizen Yasutsugu
and has also used western iron to produce swords.
It is strong and good work.

Tsuba: Copper plate, crane is engraved with open work.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanako, litterateur is engraved with gold color.
Saya: Black Roiro Kizami Saya
Menuki: Leaf and bird is engraved with gold color.
