The blade was polished.
Blade length : 45.3 cm or 17.83 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.75 cm or 1.08 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Kasane : 1 cm or 0.39 inches.
Era :Early Edo period.
Shape : It is regular size with and thickness
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained jinie attached.
Hamon : NIe structure notare with mixture of gunoe midare.
Boushi is Hakikake style.

Special feature : This wakizashi is mumei sword, however, it is attributed as Shimosaka in Kicho paper.
The age is rather old and it reveals the characteristic of that perido.
Shimosaka is from Echizen school and the famous sword smith would be successful Echizen Yasutsugu. Echizen Yasutsugu also engraved the signature Shimosaka at his early carrier and was quite successful.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :Round shape shakudo with turtle design engraved and inlayed with gold.
Fuchikashira :On shakudo nanakoji plate, paulownia family crest is engraved.
Saya : Black roiro saya
Menuki : Shakudo plate with bird design engraved.
