Wakizashi : Mumei (Unsigned) attributed to Mino school

Wakizashi in Koshirae (Guarantee NBTHK Hozon Token)
Signature :Mumei (Unsigned) attributed to Mino school.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki : copper double habaki.
Blade length : 53.2 cm or 20.9 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.8 cm or 1.1 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.0 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.6 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanei era.
Shape : The blade is rather thick and wide with small sori and long kissaki.
Jigane : Itame hada and mokume hada are mixed with Jinie attach and visible to see the texture well.
Shinogi ji : The texture is almost sama as Hiraji.
Hamon : Koniedeki gunome midare and togari gumone midare are mixed in Hamon, sunagashi and small kinsuji work. Boshi is round shape midarekomi style brush up.

Special feature : This sword has itame hada well and active gunome and togari. Gunome midare hamon seems Mino school like Jyumyo swordsmith. I think the blade has nice temper line and also nice Jigane.

Koshirae :
Saya : Black ishime ji style. *the black tape is wrapped around the Saya for reinforcement.
Tsuba : On the 8 square shapes iron tsuba, rised up mimi.
Menuki : Gourds are engraved.
Fuchigashira: A carp climbing up a waterfall.
