Wakizashi in Shirasaya, with Koshirae.

Signature: Higo Kuni Sakata Terunobu.
Bunsei 5 Nen Seki Syogatsu hi (not reliable).

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Silver foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 53.9 cm or 21.22 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi : 3.27 cm or 1.28 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.20 cm or 0.86 inches.
Kasane : 0.73 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Late Edo period Bunsei era.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick healthy blade.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attach and some part masanagare with some small kizu.
Hamon : Koniedeki gunome midare with sunagashi and deep nioikuchi.

Special feature : Higo Kuni Sakata Terunobu was working at late Edo period bunsei era.
I think probably he helped for his master for making swords.
Because we can't see his name any books.
The blade has small kizu but not so bad.

Koshirae : Japanese army gunto koshirae. Very good condition.

back ground :1860 Ansei 7th Sakuradamon gai no hen.
Tairo Ii Naosuke was killed outside of Edo castle.
